The College proposes to open regular Post graduate course in the Commerce stream of WBSU at the earliest. The West Bengal State Council of Higher Education has already granted permission for the same in 2014-15. We also have plans to open undergraduate course in Pure Science with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
The department of English plans to open a certificate course in Communicative English at the earliest for the benefit of all the students. In keeping with this plan of action we also propose to open a Language Laboratory to facilitate the teaching-learning process.
The college organises short-term classes for competitive examination. Internal as well as external students participate in large numbers. However, we propose to start courses required for Competitive Examination preparation for the backward class community of our society.
As far as the Gymnasium Room is concern, the Institution deems it necessary to renovate it with modern equipment for the benefit of the teachers, non-teaching staff members and students. It is not only required for maintaining the physical health but also for mental well-being – a must for utilising the maximum work efficiency of all the members of the Institution.
The College proposes to build an I.T. Lab for Commerce and Education separately. The I.T. will be equipped with the latest models of computers as well as the updated software necessary for the faculty members and students.
There is a provision for elevator already existing in the new block. However, an elevator will be installed for the faculty, non-teaching staff and any sick or physically disabled candidate as soon as possible.
A cheap book store catering to the need of the students will be set up within the college premises.
For primary/ basic medical clinic, every member of the college will get the support of the First Aid Room and health check up programme; which is already in process.
An NCC Unit (Boys) will soon start in our college, the official formalities of which are in progress.
Our campus is not large enough to accommodate playground and hostel for our students. We therefore, have to suffer from lack of playground, especially during the Annual Sports, Cricket & Football tournament, Social & Cultural activities every year. We are in a quest for land in and around the college locality. A Student Hostel (Girls) is also proposed to be built.
We are also planning to start a group life insurance policy for all teaching staff. Student Group Insurance for accidental benefits is also to start very soon.
A six storied building is proposed to be built in the vacant land inside the college premises. The basement will have space for garage, canteen. The remaining part of the building will consist of a central library hall, an auditorium, a modern gymnasium and yoga centre. Provision for all other class rooms required will be there in the remaining space available.
